Enjoy a splendid 2 day adventure

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Scotland, by choosing to join us in one of our splendid trips over a two day adventure, travelling from the city of Glasgow. We will pick you up from your accommodation in or around the city, and commence your memorable tour to some of our most beloved and popular beauty spots in Scotland. Our first option offers a mix of the traditional well known tourist attractions with the quieter off the beaten track style locations. This two day tour travelling from Glasgow, includes the iconic Stirling Castle, steeped in history, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs National Park, the enchanting forest walk of Pucks Glen and an island visit to the Isle of Bute, hosting one of the world’s greatest undiscovered treasured homes, Mount Stuart House. Day 1 – We commence our journey collecting you from your accommodation in Glasgow, and journeying to the spectacular Stirling Castle, one of our most popular castles in Scotland. It is not only a majestic jewel in one of Scotland’s oldest towns, it lends itself to tales of yore, incorporating romance, treachery, royalty and feuds..it has it all. From here we travel on to the Trossachs National Park and Lochs Lomond and Lubnaig, both of these lochs offering some stunning picturesque views. We continue our historical journey to Balquhidder, visiting the grave and churchyard, where the famous Roy Roy McGregor was laid to rest in 1734. We conclude the first day of your tour, with a drive down to the Ayrshire Coast and Clyde estuary, where you can stay at one of the recommended hotels overnight, resting before your following day’s adventure. Day 2 – You shall be collected from your accommodation, and start the second leg of your 2 day tour. We travel on along the clyde coast to the village of Wemyss Bay where we will board the ferry to the beautiful Isle of Bute. We journey along the beach filled coastline to our destination Mount Stuart House. This wonderful historical Neo Gothic stately home can boast many famous visitors, including Madonna, Guy Ritchie and Chrissie Hynde, who were among the many wedding guests when Paul McCartney’s daughter, Stella was married there in 2003. You will be mesmerised by the stained glass windows, the grand bedrooms and the whole ambiance of this little known treasure. It also boasts beautiful gardens and private beaches. After exploring this fabulous mansion, we head off for yet another ferry ride from Rhubodach to Colintraive. Disembarking from the ferry, we shall head for the spectacular enchanted fairy glen walk to Pucks Glen. This is a must for camera enthusiasts as this walk boasts stunning criss cross bridges, with waterfalls aplenty. After a refreshing glen walk, we head back homeward to Glasgow where your tour will conclude.

Our second option, offers a journey to one of the most popular Scottish sightseeing tourist attractions among our visitors both home and overseas. Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Oban and Inveraray. We commence the journey as follows;

On your first day of your two-day excursion from Glasgow, we head North to the ever popular Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. Here we will visit the beautiful scenic villages of Luss and Tarbert, with a lunch stop at the historical 18th century stone lodging, The Drovers Inn, (rumoured to be haunted).

We then journey on to the often described as ‘eerie’ atmospheric mountains of Glencoe, allowing you time for photographic opportunities. We shall then conclude our first day by arriving at the quaint fishing town of Oban where we will rest overnight at a recommended hotel.

On your second day after breakfast, you can have the option of experiencing an Oban Whisky Distillery tour or a wander around the town itself, before embarking on our journey southwards to Inveraray Castle and the Jail. We then travel on through the Arrochar Alps and the scenic lochside views of Arrochar itself, whilst experiencing the beauty spot, Rest and Be Thankful, before returning you back to Glasgow.

These options are only two of the extensive list we have of 2 day outings available from Glasgow, and we would be delighted to discuss these or more options further with you. In addition, we are open to discussing any bespoke options you may wish to create, or mix and match some of our existing tours. Remember it’s your tour your way. We want your trip to Scotland to be filled with amazing memories for you to return home with. Dates are filling up fast for next year’s diary so please don’t hesitate to contact us soon to avoid disappointment.

Just a little reminder that your tour guide Graeme, will play a selection of Scottish tunes at many of the locations on your 2 day tours from Glasgow gratis, and wearing the full highland dress throughout the two days.
